The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Electrical Installation Trainer to join our Construction department. This role involves delivering high-quality training across a range of Electrical Installation courses and contributing to the development of innovative teaching and learning practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver training on a range of Electrical Installation courses.
- Contribute to the development of aspirational teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress and performance.
- Ensure the application of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in electrical systems and control technologies.
- Support learners in developing practical skills in electronic and electrical systems, including fault finding and control systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the curriculum remains current and relevant to industry needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths.
- Proven experience with electronic and electrical systems, including industrial, power, and electronics.
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
- Up-to-date occupational experience in the field.
- Enhanced DBS check.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or training, especially for newly qualified teachers or industry practitioners.
- Completion of a teacher training programme or willingness to participate in one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
