Summary:

Electrical Tutor needed to support students in construction roles with industry expertise and teaching skills.

The Opportunity:

As an Electrical Tutor, you will play a key role in preparing students for successful careers in the construction industry. You will combine your industry expertise with teaching skills to deliver engaging and practical learning experiences. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess students in the Electrical Department within the Faculty of Construction.
  • Deliver on-site assessments for apprentices to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Support 6th Form and Apprentice Electricians with their learning and development.
  • Provide clear and engaging explanations to help students understand complex concepts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and wider teams to enhance the learning experience for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Industry experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial electrical installations.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and simply.
  • Passion for helping students succeed in construction roles.
  • Experience in at least one of the building trades.

Preferred

  • Teaching or assessor qualification.
  • Experience in training or education.
  • Familiarity with vocational training and assessment methods.
