The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Language & Literacy Teacher to join our team and support students across the IB MYP, DP, and IGCSE programs. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction, contributing to curriculum development, and promoting a culture of learning that is engaging and meaningful for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English Language & Literacy instruction across the senior school, including IB MYP, DP, and IGCSE.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design concept-based units of inquiry with authentic assessment tasks.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students at all levels.
- Foster a constructivist learning environment that promotes autonomy and critical thinking.
- Promote international-mindedness and service learning through curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain high standards of organization and communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Support the development of the wider school community through collaboration and leadership.
- Teach additional subjects as required based on departmental needs and personal expertise.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching English Language & Literacy across the senior school.
- Strong understanding of the IB curriculum framework and philosophy.
- Relevant international teaching experience.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with IB MYP and DP, and IGCSE.
- Experience teaching additional subjects such as EAL, TOK, or Humanities.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
