Key Responsibilities:
- Guide students through university applications and career pathway planning
- Deliver targeted English language instruction and support to Grades 6-12 students
- Implement and manage the Future Focus Program
- Provide academic and language intervention for diverse learners
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure student success
- Support students in understanding and preparing for both IB and non-IB pathways
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Stay current with best practices in teaching and college counseling
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Demonstrated experience in college counseling, particularly with international university admissions
- Experience teaching English in Grades 6-12, with a focus on language acquisition
- Strong understanding of IB Diploma Programme and non-IB pathways (e.g., SAT, TOEFL)
- Proven ability to support diverse language learners
- Commitment to delivering exceptional educational outcomes
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Preferred
- Experience with international student admissions processes
- Background in teaching L&L or language acquisition
- Fluency in Japanese or willingness to learn
- Experience with student mentorship and career guidance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
