Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction in English and Portuguese, aligning with bilingual learning goals.
- Design and deliver differentiated lessons following local and international curricula for grades 1-5.
- Foster language development through strategies that enhance vocabulary, reading comprehension, and communication skills.
- Create an interactive classroom environment that encourages collaboration and critical thinking.
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom atmosphere, promoting respect and organization.
- Use assessments to track student progress and communicate regularly with parents.
- Incorporate cultural elements into lessons to support language learning and cultural appreciation.

Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Fluent in both English and Portuguese, with strong English teaching proficiency.
- A degree in English, Linguistics, or Education, plus a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching bilingual or dual-language classes, especially in grades 1-5.
- Expertise in bilingual learning programs and international curricula, such as IB PYP.
- Strong classroom management skills with a focus on inclusivity and structure.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of bilingual students with varying language proficiencies.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to integrate cultural elements into teaching.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
