The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students across Years 7 to 13.
  • Support students’ academic progress and personal development through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with the wider English Faculty team to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Model excellent teaching practices and maintain high standards of classroom management.
  • Contribute to the development of drama provision where appropriate.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities within the school and Trust.
  • Engage with students, parents, and colleagues in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Prepare and assess students' work in line with school and Trust expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Experience teaching students across Years 7 to 13.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Drama.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in providing pastoral support to students.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering CPD and mentoring colleagues.
  • Familiarity with the Inicio Educational Trust and its values.
