Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in the IB MYP and DP English Language and Literature curriculum.
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity.
- Support student progress through differentiated instruction, formative and summative assessments, and personalized feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral programmes, including extracurricular activities and student support initiatives.
- Engage in professional development and stay current with best practices in education and the IB framework.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and community-building activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching English in an IB MYP or DP setting.
- Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum, assessment criteria, and pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience in a British international school or similar educational environment.
- Familiarity with the Malvern College ethos and heritage.
- Leadership experience or involvement in school-wide initiatives.
- Experience with curriculum development and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for teaching and learning.
