The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher (IB MYP DP) to join a dynamic and growing school community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in the IB MYP and DP English Language and Literature curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity.
  • Support student progress through differentiated instruction, formative and summative assessments, and personalized feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral programmes, including extracurricular activities and student support initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development and stay current with best practices in education and the IB framework.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
  • Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and community-building activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching English in an IB MYP or DP setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum, assessment criteria, and pedagogical approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in a British international school or similar educational environment.
  • Familiarity with the Malvern College ethos and heritage.
  • Leadership experience or involvement in school-wide initiatives.
  • Experience with curriculum development and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for teaching and learning.
