The Opportunity:
As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction and contributing to the academic success of students. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact in an international educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach up to 25 lessons per week, ensuring engaging and effective instruction.
- Submit lesson plans, presentations, and other required teaching documents in a timely manner.
- Maintain positive student behavior and discipline, communicating with SLT when necessary.
- Continuously improve teaching quality and promote high academic standards.
- Participate in academic meetings and contribute to departmental discussions.
- Fulfill assigned evening duties as required by the school.
- Assess, monitor, and track student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Prepare and grade examinations, analyze results, and produce performance reports.
- Build and maintain positive communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Plan and organize student activities, including open classes, performances, and campus events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support school events and student competitions.
- Lead an extracurricular activity or club to enhance student engagement.
- Support student admissions events and promotional activities.
- Assist the University Counseling Department with recommendation letters and academic support.
- Collaborate with the Pastoral Department on student development initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in relevant subject areas.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a related field.
- PGCE, QTS, or U.S. teaching certificate.
- Strong knowledge of international curriculum systems such as AL, AP, and IGCSE.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Passion for student-centered education and innovative teaching methodologies.
Preferred
- Experience in international or private school settings.
- Familiarity with student-centered teaching approaches and technology integration.
