Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to inspire a love for English and foster critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Ensure continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree in a relevant subject area with a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent specialism in English.
  • Proven experience teaching High School English, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school.
  • Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on English education.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
