Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire students and promote a love of English.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that supports the progression and attainment of all learners.
- Support students of all abilities through differentiated instruction and targeted intervention.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching and learning across the faculty.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and development.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Contribute to the school’s wider vision and ethos by promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
- A degree-level qualification in English or a related subject.
- Experience in teaching English at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student progress and attainment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A clear vision of the value of English in education.
Preferred
- Experience with Early Careers Framework (ECT) training.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting new teachers.
- Experience in delivering curriculum-based projects or extracurricular activities in English.
- Familiarity with the SHARE Multi-Academy Trust and its values.
