Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to the needs of students with complex needs.
- Prepare and adapt teaching materials to ensure they are accessible and engaging for all learners.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to support student progress and behavior management.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their goals.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and initiatives that support student well-being and academic success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in education.
- In-depth knowledge of the English curriculum and teaching methodologies for students with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively and maintain a positive classroom environment.
Preferred
- Experience working with students who have social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Experience in developing and delivering individualized learning plans.
- Familiarity with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support strategies.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
