Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Create inclusive and challenging learning environments that support all students, including those with diverse needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of the school’s enrichment programme, including extracurricular activities.
  • Support students in developing the skills needed for success in exams and beyond.
  • Stay up to date with developments in English teaching and incorporate innovative approaches into the classroom.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to support student achievement and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified English Teacher with relevant experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering enrichment activities or extracurricular programmes.
  • Familiarity with the school’s ethos of "Building Brighter Futures."
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in raising student achievement in English.
