Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and improve student outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to staff meetings and planning sessions.
- Support extracurricular activities related to English and literacy.
- Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging lessons.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a second language.
- Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
- Experience in developing and delivering cross-curricular projects.
- Familiarity with digital tools and resources for teaching and learning.
