Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and improve student outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to staff meetings and planning sessions.
  • Support extracurricular activities related to English and literacy.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
  • Experience in developing and delivering cross-curricular projects.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and resources for teaching and learning.
