Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Foster a positive learning environment that supports students' educational and personal growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success.
- Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.
- Support students with autism and associated conditions through tailored teaching strategies.
- Promote inclusive practices and ensure all students feel valued and supported.
- Stay up to date with developments in special educational needs and incorporate them into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in teaching English as a specialism
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- A qualification in SEND education
- Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC
- Experience in mainstream education settings
