The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that supports students' educational and personal growth.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success.
  • Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.
  • Support students with autism and associated conditions through tailored teaching strategies.
  • Promote inclusive practices and ensure all students feel valued and supported.
  • Stay up to date with developments in special educational needs and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching English as a specialism
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • A qualification in SEND education
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC
  • Experience in mainstream education settings
