Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons that meet GCSE standards and drive student achievement.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s leadership programme.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Support students in developing leadership skills through extracurricular and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of delivering high-quality teaching that drives student achievement and engagement.
  • Proven ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving positive outcomes for students.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a faith-based or multi-faith setting.
  • Experience of leading or contributing to leadership development programmes.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
  • Experience of working in a disadvantaged community.
