Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students aged 11 to 16, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that inspire a passion for English and improve student outcomes.
- Support students in achieving their academic potential through personalized instruction and targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and growth.
- Participate in the school’s leadership programme, contributing to the development of students’ character and social responsibility.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Stay up to date with current educational research and pedagogical approaches to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of delivering high-quality teaching that drives student achievement and engagement.
- Ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Proven track record in achieving positive outcomes for students.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in innovative and creative teaching methods.
- Background in leadership or character development initiatives.
- Experience working in a school with a leadership specialism.
