Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students aged 11 to 16, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that inspire a passion for English and improve student outcomes.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through personalized instruction and targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and growth.
  • Participate in the school’s leadership programme, contributing to the development of students’ character and social responsibility.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and pedagogical approaches to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of delivering high-quality teaching that drives student achievement and engagement.
  • Ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Proven track record in achieving positive outcomes for students.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in innovative and creative teaching methods.
  • Background in leadership or character development initiatives.
  • Experience working in a school with a leadership specialism.
