The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students aged 11–16, ensuring engaging and effective learning.
- Work closely with the Head of English to maintain consistency and excellence across the department.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the English curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Support student progress through individualized teaching, assessment, and pastoral care.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development opportunities.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student success.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community through regular communication and involvement in school events.
- Stay up to date with current educational trends and best practices in English teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in English.
- Experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Years 7–11).
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular activities in English or Performing Arts.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or bilingual education.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on student success and academic achievement.
- Familiarity with the NSB Trust or similar educational institutions.
