Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons that challenge and motivate students.

  • Contribute to the planning, delivery, and assessment of the English curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning practices.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Stay up to date with developments in English education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching English at a secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
  • Experience of working in a school with a strong focus on student relationships and academic excellence.
  • Familiarity with the Two Counties Trust and its values.
