Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Support the design and implementation of the English curriculum in line with the school's vision.
  • Collaborate with the Director of English and Deputy Subject Leader to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
  • Provide meaningful extra-curricular opportunities that enrich students' learning experiences.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering targeted support where needed.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and well-being.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for teaching English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery.

Preferred

  • Experience with early career teacher support and development.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities related to English.
  • Familiarity with the Bridge Academy Trust values and mission.
