Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to student learning.
  • Participate in department meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s wider community through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
  • Experience in creating and delivering engaging lesson plans.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students with a range of abilities and needs.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
  • Experience with using digital tools in the classroom.
  • Background in pastoral care or student support.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles.
