Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons that promote student achievement and enjoyment.
- Support the development of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of a dynamic and imaginative curriculum.
- Provide individualised support to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Work closely with other subject specialists within the Communicate Learning Zone.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
- Participate in staff development and training initiatives to enhance teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
- Experience in teaching English, either through ITT or recent paid employment.
- Ability to support literacy and numeracy strategies across the curriculum.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a second language.
- Familiarity with using electronic devices to enhance learning.
- Experience in contributing to the development of a school’s values and culture.
- Strong understanding of the “Five Rs” values and how they can be integrated into teaching practice.
