Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons that promote student achievement and enjoyment.
  • Support the development of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a dynamic and imaginative curriculum.
  • Provide individualised support to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with other subject specialists within the Communicate Learning Zone.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
  • Participate in staff development and training initiatives to enhance teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Experience in teaching English, either through ITT or recent paid employment.
  • Ability to support literacy and numeracy strategies across the curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language.
  • Familiarity with using electronic devices to enhance learning.
  • Experience in contributing to the development of a school’s values and culture.
  • Strong understanding of the “Five Rs” values and how they can be integrated into teaching practice.
