The Opportunity:
As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal development of students in the Secondary School. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in line with the English National Curriculum, and will contribute to a school culture that values excellence, innovation, and student well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the English National Curriculum up to KS5.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support student progress and achievement.
- Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to enhance the learning experience.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities that enrich the school community.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide regular feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Support the school's mission by promoting kindness, respect, and a culture of inclusion.
- Undertake professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant bachelor’s degree.
- PGCE or PGDE and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Experience in teaching English up to KS5 is an advantage.
Preferred
- Experience with the English National Curriculum and IGCSE/IAL qualifications.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively and support student learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
