The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualised and small group English lessons
- Prepare teaching resources, manage registers, and complete student reports
- Support students in developing confidence and independent learning skills
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and communicate regularly with parents
- Mark and assess student work effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning strategies
- Stay up to date with curriculum requirements and best practices in education
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a SEND or SEMH setting
- Commitment to supporting students with complex needs
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or QTLS)
Preferred
- Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 or 4
- Background in SEMH or specialist provision
- Experience with students who have EHCPs or conditions such as ADHD or ASD
- Passion for making a positive impact on student outcomes
