The Opportunity:

As an English Teacher, you will inspire and educate students in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will deliver engaging lessons that help students achieve academic success while building confidence and life skills. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and individualised English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Support students in achieving recognised qualifications and developing functional literacy
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with SEND
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and resilience
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement therapeutic and educational strategies
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of rebuilding lives through education

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified English Teacher with relevant teaching experience
  • Secure knowledge of teaching English Language and AQA English GCSE specifications
  • Ability to deliver individualised and adapted lessons
  • Commitment to working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs

Preferred

  • Experience working in a SEND environment
  • Familiarity with Functional Skills qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in therapeutic or residential education settings
