The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative English Teacher to join our dynamic team and contribute to the continued growth of a school that values excellence, integrity, and passion. This role involves teaching English language acquisition across the full school age range and participating in a vibrant boarding school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English language acquisition lessons across the full school age range.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support student learning and engagement.
  • Contribute to co-curricular activities, student mentoring, and boarding house care, including some evening and weekend commitments.
  • Support students in achieving academic success and personal development within a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of the IB Middle Years Programme and/or IB Diploma Programme, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and school culture.
  • Maintain accurate records and assess student progress regularly.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in English language acquisition.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a boarding school environment.
  • Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at IB Diploma level (English B) or equivalent.
  • Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Background in co-curricular activities and student mentoring.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
