Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students aged 11-16 across the curriculum.
- Develop engaging and innovative teaching resources that support student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
- Support the school’s vision by promoting a positive learning environment and strong student behavior.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental planning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to staff training initiatives.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to build strong relationships and support student success.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities that enhance student engagement and learning beyond the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in delivering CPD or mentoring other teachers.
- Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and teaching methodologies.
