Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons at Key Stage 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 and Key Stage 3 within the Literacy for Life team.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and values.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help learners improve.
  • Stay up to date with current educational trends and incorporate technology into teaching practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience of teaching across key stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding lessons and manage a classroom effectively.
  • Commitment to raising standards and continuous professional development.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to innovate and use technology in the classroom.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Leadership experience or involvement in educational initiatives.
  • Experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Evidence of impact on student achievement and progression.
