Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that are engaging, challenging, and inclusive.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student achievement and progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Support students’ pastoral needs and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to English.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral leadership or a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
