Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that raise student achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school improvement and curriculum development.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
- Support the school’s commitment to spiritual and moral development through the curriculum.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and school improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong track record of academic achievement.
- Familiarity with teaching in a multi-academy trust environment.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
