The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher KS3-KS5 to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 5, following the English National Curriculum and IGCSE/A Level specifications.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and academic achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school, contributing to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
- Support the school’s Guiding Statements and Values, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to promote the school’s mission and values.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that support student well-being and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 5 in an international or British curriculum setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and the promotion of personal excellence.
Preferred
- Experience with the IGCSE, A Level, or IB Diploma curricula.
- Familiarity with international education standards and best practices.
- Experience in a multicultural environment and an understanding of diverse student needs.
- Leadership experience or a willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the department.
