We are seeking an English Teacher - MAT Cover to join our dynamic department and support student learning in Key Stages 3 and 4. This role is ideal for someone looking to build experience in a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in English to Key Stages 3 and 4 students
  • Support student progress through effective teaching and assessment strategies
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the English curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school and department
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Engage in professional development to enhance teaching practice
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly
  • Support students from diverse backgrounds and abilities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS
  • Strong knowledge of English literature and language for Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Experience in planning and delivering lessons to a range of learners
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in teaching

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a MAT setting
  • Familiarity with PSHE and Citizenship curriculum
  • Experience with supporting students who are new to the country
  • Background in creative teaching methods
