The Opportunity:

As an English Teacher - Middle School, you will play a key role in delivering the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and supporting students from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality English instruction aligned with the MYP curriculum and AERO standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and literacy.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and student success.
  • Provide pastoral care and mentorship to students through advisory programs.
  • Utilize educational technology and school platforms to enhance teaching and communication.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to curriculum design and school initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 3–5 years of experience teaching in a Middle School setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Current teacher licensure or certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using school databases and educational technology.

Preferred

  • Experience with IB MYP, WIDA, SIOP, and Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop methodologies.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Advisory or pastoral care experience.
  • Background in curriculum development.
