The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher (Secondary) to join its dynamic English department. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching across all key stages and contribute to a thriving academic community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across all three key stages (3-5).
- Prepare and implement lesson plans aligned with Cambridge IGCSE, CAIE A-Level, and/or IB Diploma standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student achievement and personal growth.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the English curriculum.
- Support students through extracurricular activities and additional learning opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of assessment methods.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in English education and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognized teaching qualification (local or international).
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level (key stages 3-5).
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student success and a positive attitude toward teaching and learning.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider school and English department community.
Preferred
- Experience with Cambridge IGCSE, CAIE A-Level, or IB Diploma programs.
- Background in curriculum development or leadership within a teaching team.
- Experience with extracurricular activities or student mentorship programs.
