Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Support the development of literacy and numeracy skills in line with the school’s core curriculum priorities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver dynamic and imaginative teaching strategies.
- Use electronic devices to enhance learning and promote independence among students.
- Contribute to the wider development of students, including their social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Support the school’s values, including the 'Five Rs', in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in teaching English, including experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and support the school’s values and vision.
Preferred
- Experience with SEND-specific teaching strategies.
- Experience in delivering literacy and numeracy strategies.
- Experience with using technology to support learning.
- Experience in a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
