Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality English curriculum resources to support student learning and achievement.
  • Lead and support colleagues in enhancing teaching and learning practices across the department.

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of co-curricular activities that enhance student engagement and personal development.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, using data to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting inclusion, equity, and a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff development initiatives and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement strategies.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s educational vision and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in English education at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills with a proven record of student achievement.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leadership or mentoring roles within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or bilingual education.
  • Involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.
  • Previous recognition or awards for teaching excellence.
