Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in English and Media Studies across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic progress and personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and teaching strategies.
- Contribute to the enrichment of the curriculum through innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Participate in professional development activities and CPD sessions.
- Engage with students and colleagues outside of lessons to support learning and school culture.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of trips and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in English or Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience in teaching English and Media Studies at Key Stage 4 and/or Key Stage 5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to student needs.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A Level English or Media Studies.
- Experience with Drama curriculum support.
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Experience in contributing to extracurricular activities and student enrichment.
