The Opportunity:

As an ESL Support Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping English Language Learners (ELL) and English as a Second Language (ESL) students succeed academically and socially. This is a Fixed Term position within the ASK Team, offering a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support ELL/ESL students through individualized instruction and targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external support services to develop comprehensive support plans
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Implement best practices in language acquisition and literacy development
  • Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist in the integration of language support across the curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Master’s Degree in Education or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with ELL/ESL students
  • Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories and instructional strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international or multicultural educational setting
  • Familiarity with bilingual or multilingual education programs
  • Experience with curriculum development for ELL/ESL students
  • Proficiency in multiple languages

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of Yen 3,480,000 - 4,320,000 (yearly)
