The Opportunity:

As an Estates Manager, you will be responsible for managing the school's estate and facilities, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is integral to the smooth operation of a large educational institution and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the school's infrastructure and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the school's buildings and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all areas of the school.
  • Work closely with the Vice Principal Finance and Resources to coordinate facility management efforts.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff responsible for estate services.
  • Implement proactive measures to maintain a safe and secure environment for all users of the school.
  • Coordinate and manage building refurbishments and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and budget for estate management.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of the school's infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in estates management, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in managing a team and leading facility operations.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with large-scale building maintenance or refurbishment projects.
  • Familiarity with educational facility management systems.
  • Understanding of Catholic values and ethos in an educational context.
  • Experience in working with external contractors and suppliers.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary within the Support Staff Salary Scale (£41,019 - £44,203 per annum).
