The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Exam Invigilator to support the smooth running of examinations. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, punctual, and willing to learn. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth and secure administration of examinations in accordance with school and examination board guidelines.
- Monitor students during exams to maintain a fair and controlled environment.
- Assist students who require scribing or reading support due to access arrangements.
- Maintain accurate records of examination activities and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols during examination periods.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and senior leadership as needed.
- Support the school in maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere during exams.
- Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- No formal qualifications are required, though a commitment to student welfare and a keen attention to detail is essential.
- Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including during examination periods.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and a high level of reliability.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an educational setting or in invigilation roles.
- Experience working with students who have special educational needs and disabilities.
- Familiarity with examination procedures and access arrangements.
