The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of examinations. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain a calm and focused atmosphere will help students perform to the best of their ability. This is an essential role in supporting the academic success of students during exam periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during examinations to ensure adherence to rules and regulations.
  • Monitor examination conditions to maintain a fair and secure environment.
  • Report any irregularities or concerns to the Examinations Officer promptly.
  • Ensure all examination materials are securely stored and handled.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of examination rooms as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance during exams.
  • Support students in understanding and following examination procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and parents when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a supervisory or observational role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational or examination setting.
  • Familiarity with examination procedures and regulations.
  • Experience with managing students in a school environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
