The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our examinations and ensuring a fair and secure testing environment. This is a vital position that supports the academic success of students throughout the school year, including during mock exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during examinations to ensure adherence to examination rules and procedures.
- Maintain a calm, focused, and secure environment throughout the examination period.
- Report any irregularities or concerns to the relevant staff promptly.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of examination materials.
- Support the smooth running of mock exams and other assessment events.
- Attend mandatory training and induction sessions provided by the school.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during examinations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to uphold the school’s standards and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a supervisory or monitoring role, ideally in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain confidentiality.
- Availability to work on a casual basis throughout the school year, including evenings and weekends if required.
Preferred
- Previous experience in exam invigilation or a similar role.
- Experience working with students in a school environment.
- Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures.
- Flexibility to work during peak examination periods.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.30 gross per hour.
