The Opportunity:
We are seeking Exam Invigilators to support the Examinations Department during key points in the examination calendar. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to maintaining exam integrity and ensuring a secure and fair assessment environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake examination invigilation for external and internal assessments.
- Ensure the security of all confidential examination materials and follow JCQ and awarding body requirements.
- Promote the welfare of children and young people during exams.
- Support the implementation of access arrangements by becoming trained readers and scribes.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
- Assist in the smooth running of examination sessions.
- Report any incidents or concerns promptly.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to examinations and safeguarding.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace and learning environment.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Appropriate level of digital literacy.
Preferred
- Experience in an educational or examination setting.
- Previous training or experience in invigilation or related roles.
- Knowledge of JCQ and awarding body regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
