The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all examinations are conducted in a fair, secure, and compliant manner. This is a key position in maintaining the integrity of the assessment process and supporting students during critical academic periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all exams are conducted in accordance with JCQ regulations and internal policies.
  • Supervise students during exams, maintaining a secure and focused environment.
  • Prepare and manage exam materials prior to and during examination periods.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of exam rooms as required.
  • Report any irregularities or concerns to the Examinations Officer promptly.
  • Attend training sessions to stay up to date with examination procedures and requirements.
  • Work flexibly across multiple exam periods throughout the year.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple exam periods, including before and after school hours.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Willingness to undergo DBS clearance and other safeguarding checks.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational or examination setting.
  • Experience with handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Experience with internal and external exam processes.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
