The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of examinations. This is a casual role that supports the school’s examinations team during busy periods, helping to maintain the integrity of the assessment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with examination regulations and guidelines during invigilation sessions.
- Monitor and supervise students during examinations to maintain a fair and secure environment.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of examination materials.
- Maintain accurate records and report any issues or concerns promptly.
- Support the Exams Team Leader in the coordination of examination periods.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and external examiners.
- Adhere to the school’s policies on health and safety, confidentiality, and equality.
- Assist with the collection and secure storage of examination documents after the session.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in an educational setting or similar role.
- Commitment to upholding academic integrity and fairness.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an invigilation or examinations role.
- Knowledge of examination procedures and regulations.
- Experience working with young people in an educational context.
- Familiarity with the school’s values of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate (£12.92 for standard roles, £15.00 for Lead roles).
