The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Exam Invigilator to support students during key examination periods. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a secondary school setting and a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare. The position offers flexible, term-time hours and is based in a vibrant, caring school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and supervise students during exams to ensure a fair and secure environment.
  • Ensure compliance with examination rules and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of exam-related activities and report any incidents promptly.
  • Support the smooth running of exam periods by following school protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of examination rooms as required.
  • Liaise with teaching staff and other invigilators to ensure consistency and clarity.
  • Complete all required safeguarding and training modules before the start of the exam period.
  • Uphold the school’s values and mission in all interactions with students and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working in a secondary school or educational setting.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to rules and procedures.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Completion of statutory safeguarding training.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an exam invigilation role.
  • Familiarity with the UK curriculum and examination processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work during exam periods, including evenings and weekends if required.
