The Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Exam Invigilators to ensure the smooth running of examinations. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of the assessment process and supporting students during key academic periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up examination venues with stationery, equipment, and examination papers
- Support candidates before the start of examinations and ensure they follow the rules
- Monitor candidates during exams, ensuring a quiet and focused environment
- Address candidate queries and handle any irregularities that arise
- Record attendance and manage late arrivals during exams
- Collect and collate scripts at the end of the examination session
- Prepare and manage script envelopes for secure storage and submission
- Supervise candidates leaving the venue and ensure no unauthorized removal of materials
- Assist in packing and delivering examination papers and equipment as required
- Support the preparation of seating plans for each examination session
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Access to an email account for communication with the Examinations Officer
- A positive attitude towards working with young people and a commitment to education
- Flexibility to work during exam periods as required
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with students
- A firm but fair approach to managing exam conditions
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including walking and lifting
Preferred
- Previous experience in an educational or examination setting
- Familiarity with exam procedures and protocols
- Experience in a school or college environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes environment
