The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of GCSE, A level, and internal mock exams. Your responsibilities will include supervising students, managing exam materials, and maintaining a secure and fair examination environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the entry and seating of candidates before the start of the examination.
- Distribute examination papers and collect completed scripts at the end of the session.
- Ensure compliance with examination regulations throughout the session.
- Record attendance and seating arrangements accurately.
- Monitor students to prevent any breaches of exam rules.
- Assist in the orderly dismissal of students from the examination room.
- Pack and prepare scripts for posting after the examination.
- Return spare materials to the Examinations’ Officer.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain discipline during exams.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work on a casual basis during exam periods.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an exam invigilation role.
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
