The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Exam Invigilator to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of internal and public examinations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining academic standards and supporting student success throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invigilate internal and public examinations in accordance with examining body regulations.
  • Ensure a calm, focused, and secure environment for all candidates during exams.
  • Monitor and enforce exam rules and procedures with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Communicate clearly with students, staff, and senior leadership as required.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of examination materials and venues.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
  • Work flexibly across term time and be available for unexpected examination requirements.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to uphold the school’s standards and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in an invigilation role within a school or educational setting.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of exam invigilation regulations and procedures.
  • Previous experience working within a school or academy.
  • Training or experience in safeguarding and child protection.
