The Opportunity:
As an Examination Invigilator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of examinations and ensuring a fair and secure environment for all candidates. This part-time role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to the academic success of students during key examination periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with JCQ, Awarding Body, and school regulations.
- Maintain the security of examination materials before, during, and after the examination.
- Monitor candidates to prevent malpractice and ensure adherence to rules.
- Provide a calm and reassuring presence to candidates in the exam room.
- Follow instructions and manage evolving situations as per established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff to ensure smooth examination processes.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to exam procedures.
- Remain composed under pressure and handle any unexpected situations professionally.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Availability during term time, with a commitment to a minimum of six sessions per week.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Basic IT skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with young adults.
- Experience in an educational or exam-related setting.
- Familiarity with examination invigilation procedures.
