The Opportunity:
As an Examinations Officer Assistant and Data Manager, you will support the smooth administration and delivery of internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance with awarding body regulations and internal policies. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism required in exam management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the registration and entry of candidates for all public and internal examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate data, entries, and results using management systems.
- Liaise with awarding bodies, staff, and students to meet deadlines and requirements.
- Help with the timetabling and scheduling of exams in coordination with the Exams Manager.
- Organise and prepare exam rooms in line with regulatory body requirements.
- Ensure all necessary materials, equipment, and documentation are available for each examination session.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and scheduling of invigilators.
- Maintain accurate invigilator records, including availability and timesheets.
- Support the secure collection, handling, and dispatch of examination scripts.
- Organise the distribution and storage of examination certificates.
- Assist in the production and verification of student transcripts and other exam-related documentation.
- Respond promptly to queries from students, staff, parents, and awarding bodies.
- Maintain confidentiality and data protection compliance at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures (e.g., JCQ or equivalent).
- Knowledge of iSAMS or similar management information systems.
- Knowledge of SchoolsBuddy and SOCS.
